Bringing AI automation into education: what works
Schools and ed-tech teams have some of the most repetitive administrative work around, and some of the tightest constraints on getting it wrong. Here's the honest version.

Where it works well
Admissions triage, timetabling support, drafting (not sending) responses to common parent/student queries from a knowledge base, and summarizing long feedback threads for staff. All genuinely strong fits. The common thread: the AI drafts, a human with context approves.
Where to slow down on purpose
Anything touching student assessment, grading, or decisions with real consequences for a child's record gets a much higher bar: more review gates, more logging, and an honest conversation about whether automation is even the right tool for that specific decision. Not every workflow should be automated just because it can be.
Data and compliance come first, not last
Education data usually involves minors, which raises the privacy bar above typical B2B work. That conversation happens in the audit, before any build starts, not retrofitted afterward.
